Waipu house destroyed in fire
A Waipu house has been destroyed in a fire this morning.
Emergency services were called to the property on Finlayson Brook Rd in Waipu just before 9.30am where the fire was well involved, according to a Northern Fire Communications spokesman.
The building was gutted in the blaze, which took five appliances and two tankers to bring under control.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire safety officers are investigating the cause.
