Waipu exhibitionist sought by police
The sight of a fully starkers man almost stopped traffic near the intersection of Shoemaker Road and State Highway 1 at Waipu yesterday.
Police were called to the incident where the naked man was allegedly affronting passing traffic about 3.30pm.
A witness said the man's behaviour was offensive, was creating a traffic hazard and could have upset children due to pass on the school bus route.
Waipu police were late yesterday looking for him as he had disappeared by the time officers arrived at the scene.
