Two injured in crash near Waipu
Two people are injured after a car and motorbike collided.
The Northland Electricity rescue helicopter has been called to take the injured people to Whangarei Hospital.
The crash happened about 5:20pm on SH1 near the Waipu Bypass, Northland.
Emergency services are in attendance.
One of the victims of the crash is seriously injured.
The Police have diversions in place, northbound traffic is diverted at The Braigh and southbound at Nova Scotia. Motorist are advise to exercise caution when travelling through this area.
