Ship comes in for Christmas appeal

The Northern Advocate and Salvation Army Christmas appeal has received a boost with a $500 donation from Whangarei man Mike Daniel. The Northland Port Corporation chairman is a regular contributor to the appeal.

The Salvation Army is asking people to donate new presents and food to the appeal which is gathering momentum. Any food is welcome - including meat which can be stored in the Salvation Army's freezers. Goods or monetary donations can be dropped into the Salvation Army's Aubrey St offices, its Vine St shop or at the Northern Advocate foyer.
