Missing Canadian man last seen in Northland
Police are searching for a missing Canadian man last seen in Northland.
Pearce Martin is a 20-year-old man who has been backpacking around New Zealand, camping and staying in hostels.
His last known whereabouts was at Waitangi between February 3 and 8, when he
attended Waitangi festival celebrations.
Police say up until that time he had been in regular contact with friends and family through facebook and emails. He has not made contact since February 8.
Senior sergeant Linda Simpson, manager of the Missing Persons Unit at Police National Headquarters said there is no clue as to where Mr Martin travelled to after Waitangi and his lack of contact with family is of concern.
