Sexually motivated home invasion in Kaikohe

Police are investigating a sexually motivated home invasion in a Kaikohe home at midnight on Sunday.

The female occupant of the home woke up to find a male inside her house.

The male has not been identified at this stage, however Police are following a number of avenues of inquiry.

The Kaikohe Police want to speak to people who were in the area of the Kaikohe CBD and western residential area at around 12.00am that night and witnessed anyone acting in a suspiciously

Police ask that the Kaikohe public remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour immediately through 111.
