A Northland man has died after his tractor rolled while he was spreading fertiliser, on a farm near Dargaville.
St John Northland operations manager Tony Devanney said an ambulance crew and a team in the Northland Electricity rescue helicopter were sent to the Sommerville Rd farm about 10.20am today. (Thursday)
But the 50-year-old was dead when they arrived.
It's believed he became trapped beneath a tractor after it rolled while spreading fertiliser.
Police were called to the scene and the Northland coroner and Department of Labour had also been notified.
