Major crash SH1 Northland two seriously injured
Two people were taken to Whangarei Hospital by ambulance following a road crash on State Highway 1 this morning.
A police spokeswoman said traffic between Puhipuhi Road and Whananaki North Road, near Hikurangi had been restricted to one lane for a brief period after the crash at around 9.30 am.
One person was seriously injured and another received moderate injuries as a result of the two vehicle crash, a St John spokeswoman said.
Both lanes were opened at 10.45am.
