Dargaville store on winning run
Winning tickets for Lotto's Winning Wheel have been sold in Dargaville two weeks in a row.
The winning ticket for February 16 has been claimed but the winning ticket from the weekend before, sold at Countdown Dargaville, has yet to be claimed.
Victoria Barton-Chapple, communications adviser for New Zealand Lotteries Commission, said this was quite a rarity.
The ticket from the February 16 draw was bought at Mags-n-More in Dargaville.
The winner claimed their prize on Monday morning, and will be spinning the Winning Wheel in April.
Julie Morresey, owner of Mags-n-More Dargaville, said she was thrilled when she found out the winning ticket had been sold in her store.
"It was a local family, a really lovely family," she said of the winners.
The luck doesn't stop there, two weeks ago she sold a second division winner.
"We are on a roll, we're going to have some more winners too," she said.
The two-week streak comes after Whangarei grandmother Sandi Ayerst spun the Winning Wheel on Saturday night and won $200,000.
