Motorcyclist suffers serious head injuries
A motorcyclist wearing no helmet has been flown to Whangarei Hospital with serious head injuries.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash, involving just the motorcyclist on Poutu Rd, about 10.15am today.
The Northland Electricity rescue helicopter was called to transport the man. A police Serious crash investigator was on his way to the scene.
Northland's road toll for 2013 stands at one.
